....Stopped near Dodson today to do a color sketch. I finished it, but it's too late in the day to photograph it. I'll deal with it tomorrow* Dodson is part of the historic Columbia River Highway. It was very quiet here and plenty hot weather-wise. The only real problem I had was......a wasp stung me.
How was YOUR day?

Beautiful area! Can't wait to see your final painting.
OUCH!! So sorry about your wasp sting. I know how it feels. I've been stung quite a few times. :(
great looking spot! wasps are a pain, I know they do something good, but I have no idea wht it is
I want to see the painting
Hi Celeste,
No wasp sting here, maybe because I was working on the studio move-out. I ran the Eastbank Esplanade, too, but nary a bug was seen.
Sorry that nasty critter decided on you. Hope you've been able to salve the wound and are doing alright.
Maybe tomorrow will be wasp-free.
Sincerely,
Gary.
Great scenery, did you zap the wasp?
Trouble is they get high this time of year on the apples
Such gorgeous layers in what I can see of this latest piece, Celeste. So reminds me of Washington and Oregon too. Beautiful work. I've never been stung by a wasp or a by a bee.
Hi, Celeste,
Wow, nice place! You can teach me oil painting. Sorry for the wasp. Take care. Enjoy your weekend!
Cheers, Sadami
Ah the dangers of plein air. The painting looks like pretty country from where I'm sitting. I look forward to seeing it up close.
Love this. I was painting outside this weekend as well in beautiful, blustery weather-no wasps but lots of creepy crawlers who left bites on toes and legs.
Beautiful painting. Way to pump up the color!
Dodson looks like an idyllic place to set up to paint. Nice sketch!
