Monday Monday!

I don't remember where I got the reference for this sketch. It was in my sketchbook from a long time ago as a black and white and now I've added some color.

It's a matter of a sketcher sketching a sketcher.

Painting, Celeste Bergin, Sketcher, oil on gessoed paper 6x9

I have love from first sight with this painting. Light and mood, well, whatever right words can be said about technique. The most important for me is when soul reacts, and here it did.

Makes me long to sit quietly on a park bench and sketch or read. This is so lovely and peaceful.

Love that slouched view of the shoulders - it's how we sit.

It's got a really good 'feel' to it, not sure why!

How very nice and loose! I love how you captured the back-lit effect.

I'm wowed by how seemingly few strokes there are here
