Thursday!

This is one of the paintings that I'm putting into Inspirations in Paint  (it begins Friday). For several days I've been finalizing paintings, signing, framing...getting ready for the event........ You're coming, right?

Daisy!...(as usual, she is a big help! Thanks, Daisy!)

And here is my wee surrogate cat Maxine (I'm catsitting). Every day I go see her at her house and I sketch her and things in the room..I try to spend time with her so that she realizes how Dr. Dolittle-y I am. I like her so well, I wish I could bring her home in my tote bag.

(Top Photo) Painting, Celeste Bergin, From the Garden, oil on 10x10 canvas panel, framed.

Oh I do love this one! Wasn't this from a reference posted on your old BtS blog? I remember I loved that reference and now wish I'd give it a go. So soft...so impressionistic...Just beautiful, Celeste. I so wish I could come out for the show! Maybe some day I can surprise you. Your cat reminds me of ours...they are always laying on top of something!

What glorious colors, Celeste. I love the simplicity of the way you painted the light on the glass. Very beautiful.

What is it about cats and artists? Either they love being part of the process or understand they are our inspiration :)

A pretty color palette. A nice little present this wonderful bouquet of flowers. Flowers in the garden have that little something wild and romantic found in your painting. They have natural colors without glitter and casual attire so different than those sold at florists and need to be "snob"! They are so much more beautiful without all that artifice! ...
What beautiful kitties and beautiful photos!
Kisses and hugs to your furry friends!

(thanks, Martine!)

Beautiful work, and beautiful kitties! Is it my imagination, or is there some kind of mutual attraction between felines, and artists?
