Marathon Painting...Friday!

I was at Studio 30 today from 9am to 10pm. I painted 2.5 paintings and had a great time!
This is fellow painter Za's niece who modeled for us in ethnic dress. To see all the paintings from today go HERE.

Painting: Celeste Bergin, Mia, oil on 16x20 canvas panel
edited to say....this looks a lot less yellow in reality, this photo makes her look like her liver has shut down! I'll fix the photo in the future.

What a stunning piece! I love the traditional costume too; the front piece looks amazingly intricate. Your portraits are always fabulous, Celeste. What an awesome day and I can't wait to see your other two pieces.

Very wonderful, Celeste. You are working hard, and it shows in your great talent.

Compared to your 2-1/2 paintings, I have done 3/8, but I am proud nonetheless. :) I like all of your paintings, especially this one though - probably the exotic feel of it. I am a bit behind in commenting, and today I finally got to see your works on my computer rather than my cell phone - I especially like Wednesday and Monday Monday. I just painted a wolf (almost done) - is that kitsch?!

She is lovely and her ethnic dress is beautiful! Everyone really did a great job in painting her, the other model and still life. How fortunate y'all are to have your group!

Oh my word, Celeste, this is wonderful. You are so lucky that you get to paint such lovely people. I wish I had your talent!

My computer has been broken!! I'm trying to catch up, Celeste ... I can see I have missed some great posts!

Tyger, tyger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

Well Celeste's for a start, Mr Blake!

Since working with portraits lately, I can appreciate this even more. The composition is marvelous and so are the skin tones and 'solid' volumes.
