Oooh, such an old world peasant feel to this one! Makes me wonder what she is thinking (if she were that feudal peasant, I mean). I love the way your pieces always leave me with a mood, a sense, or a feeling, Celeste. How DO you manage that?

I have stared at this a couple of times; now I know--it reminds me of a former neighbor.

I just caught up on reading your blog--wonderful paintings and great adventures. Thanks, Celeste.

The person looks regal. I like it.

Wonderful and subtle molding of the face. I like the use of blue and red.

Your paintings are magnificent!
The darks in this one remind me of Rembrandt's work!
Pretty good company to be in! (For Rembrandt too!)
Bravo my friend!
