Here is another small super-simple oil study that I did this weekend. It's a good idea to do lots of these...just dash them out.

Oh to dash them out like this! What a beautiful landscape. I just looked at Denise Broussard's photos of her trip and your painting falls right into line with making me sigh and long for a trip and/or a move back to Washington. I miss it so very much.

I understand the theory of dashing them out, but I always get caught up in detail. nice fresh color.

Great advice. Simple shapes and dashing them out. I will write that down and place it where I see it.
Love the atmospheric perspective you captured and the textured foreground enhances the distance Great job!
