I met up with Za Vue, her niece Melinda and Kat Sowa at Mountainside Lavender Farm on Friday. This is my oil study. It was a great day....ending with First Friday at Lane Gallery. (Photos below in slideshow or direct link to photos HERE.

Love the abstracted trees and flowers in this one. Lends much to movement, the wind? Colors are gorgeous too. The day looks perfect and I have to say I do love that white building, its café curtains in the windows and of course, the American flags. Hope to see you paint that one!

What wonderful photos! Looks like a great day too. I really like that shot of Za's niece. I may have to lift that idea for a painting!

You have a kind of Cezanne-type stroke going in this one. I also like the broad brushing in lieu of detail.

Every time I see Za in one of your posts she seems so much fun! Beautiful pictures of the lavender farm and show.

Don't know how I missed this one Celeste. It is absolutely a beauty of an impressionist painting. Love it - really love it.
