No painting for me today, but I drew a copy of a Sargent painting...to continue my Sargent project. I also sketched at OHSU where I had to go for an appointment. I took the tram up to the main hospital--(first time for me) and I photographed the entire route. I  sketched the beautiful tram--a most lovely shape!    (See Slideshow below):

Bonjour Céleste,

J'aime beaucoup l'ensemble des photos de votre diaporama... Quelle belle perspective vous aviez d'où vous vous trouviez !

Un très joli portrait au crayon...

Gros bisous

I so hope all is well with you, Celeste. I never like hearing of appointments, especially when at university hospitals! As always, I'm just loving these Sargent inspired pieces and I have to agree with you the shape of the tram! I so love Portland, so miss the PNW. Who knows? Maybe some day, somehow, I'll be able to move back.

Great shots, particularly of the machinery and workings of the tram. And what a great building also. For a visit like that it looks like it was a lot of fun.

I am enjoying these Sargent sketches. Are they helping you understand his technique in any way? Is it having an affect on your own approach?

I love the tram sketch! Great that you are copying Sargent so regularly - wonderful works, you must be getting a lot out of it. Like CrimsonLeaves, I hope all is well with you as well.

WOW! Riding the tram. It is a lovely form to draw, but a possibly dizzy ride to take. Good for you. Nice addition to your Sargent project--much more my way of spending a day.

That tram ride looks amazing! It was so neat seeing all those bicycles stacked up in rows.
At least you made your appointment artful.
Love your sketches.
Wonderful stuff Celeste, as always.
