Thursday!

Here is a painting that I took to art discussion today. It is painted on gessoed cardboard. I deliberately let some of the gesso show through to add some 'sparkle'! To see what everyone else brought .......go HERE.

Painting: Celeste Bergin, Sunflowers, oil on 11x14 gessoed cardboard

I so love bouquets of flowers in vases. And you know, I never do have any around here (cats). This looks like it is sitting outside and that made me feel so decadent! I love it!

ZaVue (?) is quite the painter as are all in the group. Again, lucky you. As you said, Portland is filled with art and artists.
It's always fun to stumble back on an earlier work and discover it's not too bad. I like it.

I do like how the white lends sparkle. Enjoyable meeting, as always.

Your style is varied. I like this rough still life on cardboard with the sparkle..I am moved by the sad and worried woman from Micky D's. portrait..well done..so expressive..touching that you felt her worry..that is com-passion

The way this turns in the light and the cropping make it so strong.
