Tuesday

I painted in a life session yesterday. This pretty redhead is a model I have painted before and I was happy to see her again. It's pretty sketchy ...I need to paint faster!....but I'm fairly pleased with it as a study.

On my walk to Montavilla today I got to visit with a neighbor dog. Her owner says she has never met a human she doesn't just love. Now, doesn't she look like she is looking at you?--
from Heidi!

Oh I do love dogs that love everyone. She looks ecstatically happy just to look at you with all that love. Your model is gorgeous and I think you must have nailed her skin tones perfectly. A beautiful painting to my eyes, my friend. And thank you so much for liking the painting of your mom that I did. I try so hard not to offend when I do portraits.

Friendly dogs like that are so great. They just want to be loved:)

Envious of your life model session. Wish I could be there. Love her hair color also:)

You did great if that was a short pose and it probably was. Your painting speed seems fine to me--no doubt due to your plein air excursions. It would be nice to have another session or two with this gal; she's lovely. This is an impressive start.

She looks good to me,reminds me of an earlier one you did, maybe it's the hair colour. Are you going to build on this one?

Dogs really are something else, we shan't have any more though, the last two are still missed!

I love it all but especially the cool color of her neck next to the red hair. Fabulous.

Very nice. Can you go back to it and add a little more from memory?

Kevin...I can go back into it and I might do that and do some correction to where her hand meet her thigh. But I probably won't do more.
Thanks, all! :)
