This morning I hung my show in the lobby of the NE Community Center in the Hollywood neighborhood. There are 13 of my landscape paintings on display. (...and 13 is a lucky number...right?)

This is the handsome Community Center entrance. Lots of things take place here. There are book clubs,  dance and swimming (among many other things)...I wanted to stay and take a dip in the pool!

At the Community Center they have that great hanging system that makes it so there are no holes in the wall.

See the window on the right?...the pool is on the other side.

That's my big painting over the couch too. It all looks so nice on the terra-cotta colored wall. I'll be having a reception during the month and I'll let you know as the date gets closer. :)

Hello my dear Celeste,

I would be really happy to be able one day to attend one of your shows ... I hope it is successful.

You hung certainly beautiful work and I see this big on the photo is highlighted.
Big hugs to you.

Forgive me if I'm not always regular in time to write. It is not always easy to find time to catch!

Thanks, Martine!

Looks like it will be a knockout of a show. I would love to be there.
The atmosphere you captured in the larger painting is marvelous..

I can so see the wisdom of this hanging system, though quite honestly, I think it is so unattractive! Still, the art is gorgeous so win/win in the end. Love how big your piece over the couch is too. I wish I knew a place where I could swim without paying a fortune for a Y membership. I know I could use the exercise and with the joints being what they are, water would be the way to go.

Your art looks beautiful on those walls at the Community Center. We have them here in Albuquerque too but I haven't looked into any such possibilities.

I hope you get plenty of exposure and sales!

Yes, I do like those hanging systems. Everything looks so nicely squared and your work looks great wherever you put it. Good work, now go swimming!

Beautiful painting and great looking exhibit, I've exhibited in a couple of places where this hanging system was used. It's neat and efficient. Good Luck (I'm glad your reception's not this Friday--the 13th).

This is such a nice venue to sell and show your work, Celeste. The top painting is so gentle to look at. Reminded me of a sunrise I saw once while in Israel on the Sea of Galilee...it's the colors you used more than anything.

I forgot to say best of luck with your show!
