Monday!

An experiment with color. I might make a second pass tomorrow.

Your experiment is eye catching. It is the power of light to dark - full range of values with hardly any color to compete with the impact.
Are you satisfied with the outcome?

Yes, Julie...I like it, tomorrow or the next day I'll add some more information into the sky.

It is a good variation of complementary colors of violet and yellow, muted. The values make it really strong. It looks like the weather I've been experiencing in Holland recently. Three tornados yesterday which was unusual. xo Jenny

Oh my! Look at those deep and rich jewel tones. How beautiful!

The yellows and purples are so pleasing. Do I see a hint of palm trees on the left? I see a coastal scene here.

wow, this is really different! I especially like the title, it does seem like another time, perhaps long ago.

this is an incredible "experiment!" it's powerful, a wonderful example of complimentary colors working to create a majestic work of art and just really striking!!! Beautifully done!

Isn't it fun to play with color? The fact that you limited your colors gives the painting lots of freedom. It is so expressive. Good work.

Oh, this is beautiful--another side of Bergin. On the right, I see a tall man, wearing one white glove, taking it all in.

Love the light and dark contrasts and how they give the painting such a dramatic, mysterious ambiance.
