I got to paint in a life session today. I really loved how the model was set up. She was meant to be taking a break "backstage". This is what I got done in the time allotted.
Oil sketch: Celeste Bergin, Backstage, oil on 20x16 canvas panel

In her own way, she is as bold as your football guy! I like the strong red and black balancing out her soft roundness.

I really like this one. So many curves; then the straight fall of the red scarf--wonderful.

Excelente, me encanta como pintas, esa manera de sugerir las formas con una simple pincelada, es genial.

Un saludo.

Fine Art
Wow, how nice to have the ghost
of John Singer Sargent painting with you,
the same confident bold brushstrokes,
the accents of bold color, reds and yellows,
pulling in the viewer's eye,
the gesture of the model,
and still pure Celeste.
It's done, leaving us viewers to enjoy
the what-is, letting our mind wander,
imagining and interpreting
your suggestions,
keeping us looking,
keeping us mesmerized.
