I painted a rose earlier...and it so sucked, I ditched it!  I had plenty of paint leftover on my palette, so I painted this over an old painting. I painted it quickly and made it up. This coquettish miss just appeared, so I told her..."ok, I'll blog you".

Painting: Celeste Bergin, Untitled, oil on 10x8 canvas panel

She is delightful! Coquettish indeed! Her eyes or her mouth (or both) remind me of Susan Sarandon. And I cannot believe any of your paintings ever suck.

Your coquettish miss was a lot of fun I bet--like art was when we were kids and sat for hours inventing life complete with a story told in two dimensions, you had a good day after all. said...

Ah... The wonders of painting with the imagination. This has all the things I active surface, beautiful color and an emotional quality.
I did grin at the word coquettish. Not heard it for a long time and it fits perfectly.

Love the shape of the head and those red, red lips. Fun for sure.

So glad you saved this one and blogged her! Marvelous! So reminds me of one of my favorite actresses, Bette Davis! Love so much about this one!
Her lips especially help make her beautiful and a beautiful work of art!
Nice job buddy!
Take care Celeste!
