Sunday/Monday!

Yesterday I posted a portrait that I had dashed out...but I wound up deleting it. Some efforts are just better left on the cutting room floor! This painting is from awhile back. I like the strong color next to the muted color.

Did you have a great weekend..are you read to start a new week?

Painting: Celeste Bergin, Yin/Yang, oil on 16x12 canvas panel

Hi Celeste,
Wait a minute..."Sunday/Monday"? What gives? There's no doubling-up in Blogging! Or crying, either.
Actually, with all the irons you have in the fire, I'm surprised you find the time to post at all. It appears that you and Dave are having a wonderfully busy summer.
Enjoy!!
Sincerely,
Gary.

This is so pretty! I love the brown eathernware pottery and it looks fabulous with braches and flowers. Saw the portrait for a short while yesterday as it showed up on my blog roll; I thought it looked good!

That is a nice composition!

I saw your cowboy friend yesterday and I have done the same thing-it's why I haven't posted in several days:)

Beautiful palette. And yes, some things are better left on the studio floor. It's Monday, we start anew.

Yes! This is gorgeous.
As for the painting on the cutting room floor.... Thanks for letting us know you are human, that not everything you do is stunning. Even though I think everything you do IS stunning....

Bring on the week! :-)

Love the colors - especially in the shadows. No accounting for why some pieces please us and others don't. I do think that it is a sign of personal growth but I bet 80 out of 100 would have loved what you deleted. You are such a good artist.
