Monday!

I held this canvas in my hand to jot down some color notes during a sunset last week. (I had packed my pochade box and tripod away when I decided to paint this like "shorthand"). Fun. I took it to art discussion. To see what all the other artists brought...go HERE.

Great sun in this piece, Celeste! Once again, I rather dig the white peeping through...kind of lends to an air of excitement for things pending and still to do before that sun sets!

Spur of the moment short notes are the best. Amazing how much you can get down in a few minutes and how often those short notes turn out to be more lively than something you spent hours on. I know the Thursday group appreciated this little gem.

Powerful color notes. And I love the whimsey of the tree. Fresh and fun painting.......

This spur of the moment painting became a most interesting piece, quite unlike your others. The sun is so hot and intense, it commands our attention as we can't actually look at it real life. Here we get to study it!
