Happy Easter and New upcoming week!

There is a lot "wrong" with this start....but there are some right things too. At least I know what the issues are, which is what made me stop where I did. Even though I did another painting after this one...I wound up liking the energy in this one best. Did you have a happy Easter? I sure hope so. Oh, and I went to art discussion last week....to see what everyone brought go HERE

I can see and feel the energy you talk about - fresh and just enough color for a feel of time and place.
It is amazing how much you can suggest about a location with little or no detail.
Thanks for your viewpoint on my post, Celeste. I really appreciated it.

I see nothing wrong with this piece. I can almost feel the winds that have shaped and pushed the clouds in the sky. I want to walk in that meadow framed by hills and mountains. And for some reason, I just want to draw in a huge breath of that fresh air!! And thank you for your kind words, Celeste. They mean so much coming from one of my bestest buddies.

It's always good to just "start" no matter what!

I enjoyed the notes from the meeting. Looks like there are some new people.

Hi, Celeste.

Good post. I like how you celebrate the nice qualities, even if you feel the piece falls short. So useful to see more than just the "best stuff". Art making is not about the end result, it's about the process of creating. Thanks for posting.

The word I'd use to describe this delight is "vibrant".

ORIGIN: from Latin vibrant- ‘shaking to and fro,’ from the verb vibrare (see vibrate ).

I love Latin.

Starts are the best. Get too close to that's all folks and you've gone too far. Glad your Easter was a good one.
