The weekend approaches!

Our art discussion on Thursday was "Blue". I brought this sketch that I did in a life session with just a blue and burnt sienna. To see what everyone else brought...go HERE

(Oil Sketch), Celeste Bergin, Ballerina, oil on 16x20 toned canvas panel

You caught the grace of her position so beautifully, Celeste.
I also like the blue/brown color combination - lots of lovely combinations
can be made from it - just like you showed here.

So few strokes and I can feel the skirt moving. Lovely use of color and gesture.

I was wondering when we would go to O'Connor's again! A good discussion about the color blue and your ballerina fits in perfectly!

A beautiful composition indeed. ''Blue' has been justified completely. Nice!

The blues and the motion in this painting is wonderful, Celeste!!! Love it!
I always love to visit your group... I love Bhavani Krishnan's work in progress.
I would love to see that one finished!

Celeste, this is just stunning! I was immediately drawn to it on the APP blog. I am reminded of the beautiful lady painting you did that I own...I can't quite put my finger on it but there is something of the mystery and beauty of being a woman that you captured in both. I love the mood you get in your work!
